Just had my first cervix check at 38 weeks and 1 day. I am 4 cm dilated and have felt NO PAIN!! I was so surprised when she told me how dilated I am. She was trying to have me go to labor & delivery, but I'm not ready for the baby to come and prefer she comes when she's ready. I've felt minor cramps and a few sharp pains here and there but nothing significant. I also have occasional pain in my back on my right side, but it's only uncomfortable, not unbearable. Has anyone else felt this way? This is my second baby and I started freaking out today wondering if I'll need to head to the hospital soon. I wish it wasn't so unknown when the birth will happen. Some people said they give me til Thursday, but I still have had no pain, no water breaking, and no discharge except the minor blood from the cervix check.
