Harmony testing with the sex testing??

Did anyone do the DNA testing for the baby's sex? If you did was it accurate? I have the option but I just want to know pros and cons to it

I had it done at 10 weeks and it said girl. Was confirmed at 16 and 22 weeks. It's accuracy is as close to 100% as you can get.

There are really no cons to it other than the $130 you have to pay. It's an easy, non invasive and highly accurate test that gives a lot of really useful information. I highly recommend it. It made me feel so much more confident my baby was ok! ☺ 🌸

I did something similar to Harmony it was Panorama testing here in Kansas and it only cost me $15 because I am State insured at the moment. I did it at 9 weeks and got my results back a week and a half later and I definitely think it's worth a try. I am currently 13 weeks so I don't know for sure baby's gender besides what the testing has told me. But I do believe because they check for the chromosomes in the mother's blood compared to just viewing the genitalia up on a screen that it is the closest to Accurate as you can get.

Call your insurance and ask them how much it will be first so you're prepared. Your OB's office can tell you how much it usually is, but it's better to get confirmation from your actual insurance company. As for accuracy, the gender part is far more accurate then an ultrasound. They look at actual DNA as opposed to what's on a screen.

It's always accurate lol it tests the baby's DNA from your DNA, so it can't change. Unless a person at the lab writes down the wrong information by mistake, it won't be wrong. Far more accurate than an ultrasound. However it's purpose is to test for genetic defects, the gender is just a plus. The only downside would be the price if your insurance won't cover it. My OB told me that the highest it would be for someone without insurance is $400.

We opted for the harmony test at the 12 weeks NT scan visit.
Harmony test has no cons in my opinion.
Harmony test is primarily done to see if there's any chance of down syndrome or any other abnormalities. They also look at the X and Y gender chromosomes, thus being able to determine the gender much more accurate and faster than an ultrasound would. 
Harmony test is 99% accurate at 12 weeks and 99.9% acurate after 12 weeks.
The only thing to make sure is to call ur insurance and make sure that they cover it. The harmony test is 990 bucks and if ur insurance company doesn't cover for it, u will be getting the whole bill in the mail. 
Results are back within 7 days usually
