Nesting with nothing

Hi everyone,

Just needing to talk about how

my life feels so weird right now. Just moved to another state but our house won't be ready until 3 days after my due date . I'm 36 weeks pregnant due August 1.

So my husband and I and our 4 kids are living in a furnished little hotel apartment on the military base with almost none of our own belongings as they are all in storage.

Because I'm a c-section mom I'll be definitely having the baby while we are hotel living. Borrowing a pack and play bassinet for the baby to sleep, but I won't have a changing table or stroller or anything except a few clothes, a car seat and diapers.

We aren't poor, just displaced for a bit.

Also I have no food. We are just buying food day to day.

I'm totally used to cooking lots of freezer meals, having a good stocked kitchen for my hubby and kids to cook with. All I've got is salt and pepper and a few things in the small fridge.

I want to nest but there is nothing to built my nest with. Lol.

Anyone else survived a really odd living situation during a birth?
