Second c-section??

My first birth experience was a nightmare, I spent two days labouring and only got to 4cm despite being given drugs to help progress. Long story short my sons heart rate took a massive dip and I was rushed into surgery. And it turns out he was stuck. Now 34 weeks with my 2nd and because of my gestational diabetes my baby is looking like he's going to be a big boy he's also been transverse now for a few weeks. It's looking like a section but I have so much anxiety about it booking a date. I was scared the first time around. Is anyone going in for their second section? Or had one already? What was it like after? The healing process etc

My section is booked for August 3. I made it all the way to a 10 with my daughter and couldn't push her out. (My hips didn't spread). My section was very easy. It was hard the first day but getting up and moving made it so much easier. I also learned that if I used a pillow to get it it helped.

Thanks for the reply ladies. Feels better to know I'm not the only one. I've booked my date now, I'm hoping it will go a lot better as it's planned. Good luck to everyone.

Sounds just like my labor with my son, after 25 hrs I only dilated to 4cm. His heart rate was dropping, I ran a fever.... Long story short I have hypertension AND diabetes this time around and too risky for a VBAC so I'm preparing myself for another csection and its recovery.

I also had to get a c section with my first after 22hrs of labor, wouldn't dilate past 9cm, my daughter was also 9lbs 1oz & she would've broken my pelvic bone coming out (or so they said) also, my epidural started to wear off so at 9cm I felt every ounce of pain on my left side...not pretty...so they brought me back to surgery, had to put me to sleep (which was so upsetting, I was the last person to see/hold my daughter). Now for my second I have switched hospitals completely & was told that I can try for VBAC which I wanted to, but I also have a growth ultrasound scheduled for the 25th of this month to see how big or small this little girl is, but on the off chance she's on the big side, I'm scheduled on  August 22nd for c section, I'm nervous for both either way..I'm hoping to go VBAC but know you're not alone with having anxiety over it
