Anyone else do their own group b testing?

My 36 weeks appointment is coming up and my midwife informed me that I will be performing the group b testing on myself in the bathroom at her office. Has anyone else tested themselves? .. I'm glad that it will be a little less awkward but I never heard of them letting you test yourself.

I've gotten over the awkward stuff I mean hell they are going to see your vagina at birth so I just don't even care if they Swab me. And my doctor does it never really thought they would leave it up to the patient to do it.

They gave me my equipment and I had to test myself and that was 2 years ago.

I tested positive at 20 weeks I'm on a daily antibiotics and I'll have to have them when I deliver

This is my 6th baby & ive never done it myself. Very interesting.

I just had mine done today. My midwife did it and it was quick and easy. She also checked my cervix and said they are soft and looks like my body is getting ready for labor.

My doctor did it for me. Seems easy enough to do yourself though.
