Okay ladies, so I have a feeling that my man is getting ready to propose.. Probably this winter! He approached me a few days ago, and said that he wants to go ring shopping together on Saturday.. Not buying, but just for him to get a feel for what I like, and what would look best. (His words, not mine.) Any tips? Help a girl out! I'm so excited but all of this is really new. What should I wear? Any suggestions on etiquette? Any tips on anything?? Thanks ladies!!

I would personally just point out settings that you like. Tell the jeweler to leave the stone out and you're just looking at settings. Then tell him he should be the one to pick out your diamond. That way he can work the diamond price around the setting you love and he can still say he picked your diamond.

I picked out my ring, and was there when it was purchased. My husbands stance was, since you're the one wearing it you should like it.

My advice would be pick out a couple in a few different price ranges. Or look for a specific style that you like. This way your not dictating price, and he can choose something within his price range. You don't want him to feel obligated to get something he can't afford nor do you want him to feel obligated to go with somethings less expensive.

We found my ring at an estate jewlery store, it's vintage circa 1920.
