Herpes??!?!? TMI PICTURE

Last week I cut myself shaving in my shower, I shower without lights on so it was basically a feel and shave. When I got out I noticed the cuts. However I've been a little worried because they haven't healed. The doctor said herpes usually starts as small blister like things but I never got those, just flat open sores like the one pictured. Does herpes generally look like this? Or could this be some sort of skin infection?

I saw this a crap ton in the military. More so with the African-American population only because of how the skin reacts to being shaved. Its basically a reaction to shaving frequently, too close of a shave, or shaving against the growth just depending how sensitive your skin is. Leave it alone for a weeks or so. Dont shave and dont trim. Dont scratch or pick and it will heal. Men with this in the military get no shaving orders (which most of them loved).

They look like spots but on white people, it doesnt show as much as its a very light colour, however on the opposite race, it shows but isnt dangerous!
