The Honest Company, What you think Ladies?

Question

I had a talk with my husband about baby products and the Honest Company always pops out on his FB and we actually take our time reviewing it. It is our 1st baby so we don't really have any clue about anything..So far he likes it but I am still thinking if is it really a wise choice? Any of you here that has experience with them?
Any response will be very much appreciated.

I do cloth diapers mostly but use chlorine free/natural disposables when traveling. Honest Co seems ok- I use one called Nutured by Nature that is 8.99/pack.

The chemicals in main stream diapers are crazy... Who want stuff that was banned from pads on their baby's privates

I think that company is way overpriced and absurd. Your only paying because it's a movie stars company. You can find the same types of products way less expensive on amazon.

My experience...the diaper bundle was not any where near how much we ever needed. We would receive it and still have to buy more. The diapers smell really bad with the smallest amount of urine even though I always change my boys asap. They aren't very soft, although the designs are really cute. Also, both my boys always leaked or blew out with them. I loveeeee target brand. Pampers didn't work well for us either but out of everything we've tried target has been great and then Huggies.

If your wanting to save money and have the convenience of a diaper delivery to your door I recommend Amazon prime. Basically you get about $10 off a box a month, plus a discount on diapers (we get them every other month). It pays for itself in just a few months. (The prime membership is $99). With my first I never bought diapers at the store, one box a month was always enough.  Plus you get free shipping on many other items, we usually check Amazon prices before we buy anything now.

I have done and will be doing cloth diapers again. I use natural materials and gentle, non chemical detergents and then lay them out in the sun to bleach them naturally. One of my friends made the switch to cloth and loves them, no more diaper rashes. Not to mention more cost effective.

It's Jessica Albas company. It's been in the news lately for false advertising. But my friend who's a new mom loves the honest company. All the products. But her son has exima so he can't use some of the products. I plan on buying their products too.

I don't find it special really. All products designed for babies are totally safe (despite what the Internet tells you they are not true sources of info). I just never really liked the body products. I actually liked the Johnson's natural, and aveeno brands so much better. My daughter has eczema and Honest company didn't help (or get her hair really clean) but Johnson's Natural and Aveeno helped hers go away when she has a flare up. I have never tried the diapers though they just seemed expensive and didn't feel as nice as a soft Pampers.

We used them for my daughter for about 2 years... Other than the cute prints, they are really just diapers. They aren't very soft at all.

My nanny mom uses it, so I guess I do too. We love it. Diapers are awesome, wipes are great. Prices are pretty much the same as normal diapers/wipes. And they are environmentally safer. Ask well as safer for the babies. I love the lotions/soaps too

I'm a FTM as well so I don't have personal experience but several of my friends love it. I think the biggest complaint is that it's pricier than most brands. I'd be interested to hear what other people say!
