Birth control question

I just had my annual visit and my obgyn and I talked about Birth Control and I told her I would think about it just because I wasn't sure. My boyfriend and I have talked about it, and we both agree I should go on it. I live 6 hours away from my obgyn, and won't be able to go back home till almost the end of summer. Since she just saw me would she be able to call in one since I just saw her not even a month ago?
