Single Mom

Is there anything wrong with me being okay with being a single mom? I've wanted to have babies for years. I'm 27 and either want to adopt or get artificially enseminated. I have a 2 bedroom house, I'm financially ready to support a baby and have support from my family & friends. When I say I'm okay with raising a baby without a father, some people look at me like I'm crazy.
