Help! Breastfed baby- how to give a night bottle

So I am a nurse and I work both day shifts and night shifts. I recently went back to work and of course was put on night shifts. My husband has taken over for bedtime and night feedings with a bottle when I normally breastfeed my 3 mo old. He has been unsuccessful as far as getting him to go to sleep and then when he wakes for his 1 night feeding, it takes him that much longer to get a bottle ready, and by the time he gives the bottle my little guy is wide awake and wont go back to sleep for hours. How do yall who give night bottles do this?! I need help! My husband is about to lose it!
