Anyone taking Metformin?!

I just started taking it yesterday and I wanted to know who's gotten a bfp while taking that and Clomid! I'm on 100mg Clomid now for 5 months and am now on 500mg Metformin.

Anyone also get bad side effects?!

I was on metformin for 2 months and fell pregnant. I had no issues with side effects at all really. By the end of the 2nd month i was on 1500mg so its possible. Everyone is different. Good luck 😊

I've been on metformin for years. But I haven't taken clomid. The metformin really helps my insulin resistance but did give me some pretty bad side effects. I'd say majority of people get pretty bad side effects from it. Lots of trips to the bathroom of you know what I mean. Just make sure you take it as instructed.

I was on metformin for years. 1500mg. For the first month or so the side effects were awful. I basically couldn't leave me house unless I was going somewhere that I knew had a bathroom I could use at any moment. But after that the side effects calmed down. My body got used to it. It helped my insulin resistance and helped me lose some weight. Just try to ride the adjustment period out, it'll be over before you know it!

I'm currently on 1000mg of metformin twice a day. Been on it for a year now. The only side effect is frequent trips to the bathroom. Other than that I haven't had any issues with it. With it and weight loss it has regulated my cycles.

I've been on metformin for a couple months. I'm in the middle of my second full cycle on met. It helped me ovulate sooner and shorten my cycle last month to 29 days. I'm normally anywhere from 36-75 days, super irregular. So I'm hoping we get our bfp this month. As for side effects it had me running to the bathroom a lot. Watch what you eat when you take it. Fortunately it got better and my body adjusted so I have no issues with it! Good luck and baby dust!!

My doctor just put me on metformin this month. She wants to see me get up to 1500. Right now I have worked myself up to 1000. But it does make me sick in the afternoon. I have found that if I eat small meals with lots of protein, I don't feel as sick. I also take 5 Clomid during days 3-7 of my cycle. This is month two of Clomid. I'm hoping it works this time!!!!
