Tattoos after child birth?

I was wondering when it would be okay to get my tattoo finished. I'm not breastfeeding, and I had my daughter on July 5th. I had a blood clot in my uterus right after birth, so I lost more blood than usual.

Personally I'd wait another few weeks at least, purely because you want your body to be internally recovered fully before getting your tattoo, everyone is different but if your body is still focusing on healing/recovering post birth your tattoo healing may be prolonged or insufficient.

I got a tattoo about a month after I gave birth I was breastfeeding though and has no issues. You'll be fine as long as you go to a clean and sterile tattoo shop.
