Help! Breastfeeding twins!
Let me preface by saying my babies were preemies born at 32+4. The first couple weeks I had to just pump to give the NICU my milk & slowly they stated bottle feeding the milk & allowed me to try breastfeeding. It's been a long journey trying to get them to breast feed but having to supplement breast milk in a bottle because they are still barely newborn size & are almost 3 months. I'm
Trying desperately to get to the point where I don't have to supplement w/ bottle but it's agonizingly slow. I did a before & after feeding weight check at Drs once & was shocked to see they got 3 & 3.5 ounces but she still one let me do away with offering a little extra in bottle & has me now trying the supplemental feeding system Which is a nightmare! My LO's will breastfeed good for about 5 mins or so & then cry and fuss & not want to keep going hence why she suggested the nursing system but they fight latching & sucking so the system isn't working. I cried so hard yesterday! 😢 I just want to catch a break. Any suggestions?
