Sleepy ovaries!!???

Hi everyone, I had my implant removed at the beginning of January and I haven't had any periods, went to the doctor yesterday and he told me I have sleepy ovaries, has anyone ever herd of this and does anyone know if there is anything I can do to wake them up, my doctor said he won't do anything until January 2017 (12 months after having my implant removed) this is so upsetting for me, they didn't tell me this could happy before having the implant or I would have never had it put in, thanks in advance xx
