I was scheduled for induction on monday at four due to diabetes checked in started pitocin four hours in started getting intense contractions but no progress ten hours in at max dose of pitocin so it was stopped for a few hours tuesday ate a light breakfast then at lunch time 2nd round of pitocin was started and water was physically broke by hand and internal monitors placed contractions started almost immediately getting really bad finally after about four hours asked for an epidural that was amazing was checked and though i had dialated to a four cervix was still tough so at 6:30 pm on tuesday july 12 my ob decided we were fighting a losing battle and last choice was c section was in the o.r. by 6:50pm and my son was born at 7:17 pm doctor said he never would have made it to my birth canal his head was stuck on my pelvis and was trying to come out side ways also his umbilical cord was wrapped around him 2 times but he is here at 7.6 lbs and 19.7 inches other then some issues with low blood sugar he is perfect
