Stretching/soften cervix from Doctor

So I'm 39w 4days I'm due Sunday let's hope sooner tho lol I went to the ER today because my hubby was worried because  all day I was nauseous and no movements from baby and just so happens my midwife was on call today so I got to see her after checking everything was good which is nice. I have a appt with her Friday and last friday was dilated at 2cm and this Friday she wants to check again and we're hoping somthing happened but also she is going to try to stretch my cervix/soften. That freaked me out she said it would be a little pressure but it does help a lot ..so my questions is has any moms had any experience with this?? Lol and how did it really feel 🤔 I'm nervous as heck the sounds of it sounds scary and crazy as hell😩😫😓😢
