Team green birth story

I started having contractions at about 10am on July 13th at 40wks1day. This was my 3rd baby and I was 3cm a few days before at my last check.

After a few hours of consistent contractions, walking & getting my 2 sons together, I called the dr who told me to head into L&D.

After triage I was admitted at 4.5/5cm dialated. By about 11pm I had progressed to a 7cm and was told the baby should be here in about 45 min, 2 hours at the most.

At that point I was handling the pain pretty well and was not planning on getting an epidural.

Well I lasted another 1.5hrs and the back labor hit & the baby stopped descending, so I begged for an epidural. I am glad I did! My little one was sunny side up but finally kind of flipped, around 6am, right in time for the epidural to stop working from the waist up.

At 7:04am on July 14th I joined team pink, as my little girl was born!
