I'm 17 years old and just graduated high school this June. My mother is a single mother and has a really bad gambling problem to the point that we get kicked out every house we every rented. This time my mom rented a illegal because it had a heat stove which you're not suppose to have in basements. We're suppose to leave by August 1st and me and my mother do not find an apartment yet. I'm wonder even if she doesn't pay rent can he kick you out the house if he has proof of courts that says we have to leave?? I only try to do so much, I'm only 17 and I wish my life wasn't like this but I know hard times isn't always gonna be forever.  I walked to the police station cause it's by my job and asked them the same thing but he was useless. I'm gonna go back on Monday and go to a different office. My mother doesn't speak up because she's scared since she can't pay rent and won't come home till midnight knowing there sleeping so they won't see her. I mention to the landlord if he has proof or a copy from courts that says we have too leave and we started aguring cause I mention the police. Please somebody help me out and give me answers to know what I can do
