Am I in labor?

Question

I been getting contractions every 4 mins now, they're painful but not unbearable. I went to the emergency 2 days ago and was only 2cm and false labor. I'm scared to go and I'll get sent home. Should I go in or wait till they get worst? FTM! I'm 40weeks & 1 day

When you can no longer talk through the contractions and they are 2-3 minutes apart for an hour is when you should definitely go.

Try doing the 5-1-1 rule. 5 minutes in between 1 minute duration and lasting at least an hour. I had false labor too.. But mine weren't strong enough I guess so she said to come back when they were extremely painful that I can't walk thru the contraction. I'm a FTM too so I know how frustrating it is to not know when to go in. I haven't had false labor again .. Just waiting for contractions to get really painful :( or water to break. I'm 39w1d

Use the 5 1 1 rule. 5 minutes apart lasting 1 minute for 1 hour :) it's okay to be sent home again. That's the worst case scenario, best case is your baby is born!
