Who thinks its wrong

Question

I've been seeing a lot of post by older women talking down on the teens. I was on this one where a woman was asking for our opinions on not letting her 15 year old daughter go hang out with her bed of 6 months and she can only see him in school. 
The question is do you think it is wrong to let these ladies say it's immature of us teens to be having sex. That we do it for attention. That were just going to get pregnant and ruin the economy even more

As a teen, I hate hearing adults talk down about teens as if we don't know things. There are so many articles talking about "how to treat a teen" or "how to handle a teen" as if we are an entirely different creature than our parents. Sure, we may be into different things. We may go against the culture traditions. But should we be dismissed so quickly because we have a different opinion or prospective? I will not deny that many teens can be immature at times. Though I would like to ask a question. Do you think if adults treated teens with a bit more respect and took us a bit more seriously that teens would act better? So many times teens are ignored and we don't know of any other way to get adults to listen than to act out. We are just as human as any adult and will one day inherite the world out parents have made. For that reason alone we should be taken more seriously. Not spoken down to but uplifted with the wisdom we need to deal the problems we will be inheriting and dealing with as we go about the world.

I'm 30 and and I think that if adult women are talking down to you in a way that isn't constructive (e.g using petty insults rather than using tact and consideration) than that reflects their own lack of maturity rather than yours.

It's probable that they really are trying to be helpful, and just don't realize that by dismissing or trivializing issues of sexuality in adolescence they are actually just spreading that mentality to the young people that are (and should be) taking their sexuality seriously. Modern society tends to want to deny that anyone under 18 can be sexual, when we know that the onset of puberty triggers sexuality, not the date on your birth certificate.

No one should be talking down to you. It's honestly makes me sick to see how many women come on here to start trouble and seem to target teens... I wish this was around when I was a teen because it's a good way for  you to educate yourselves about safe sex and gain body confidence... Not everyone has sex ed or an adult they can talk to... I'm sorry that these women do this.... Just know that it's not you, they're taking out their frustrations on you.

I'm only in my early twenties but I think as a teen it's really hard to see but when you get older and look back you will realize a lot of stuff you thought was important and a lot of the choice you made were actually immature. Especially the ones that felt like "adult activities". If my daughter was 15 and in a long term relationship I wouldn't be completely upset if she had intercourse but I would encourage her to wait longer and really think about how her actions now could influence her future.

There's not much wrong with it, but I've always been taught that sex is for adults who are married. So, I'd say if the girl wants to go out with her boyfriend, let them go, it's ok as long as there r APSOLUTLY NO sexual activities. I'm not talking bout kisses on the cheek, holding hands, and hugs. I mean no sex. None. At least on till after college, wen your about 22 an up...

I think we all go through this in our lives. As a teenager I didn't listen to a word my parents said and often found myself frustrated that they acted like I knew F-all about the world. But now I'm 28 years old with an almost 8 year old daughter of my own, and when I think about her having boyfriends etc in years to come it makes me uneasy. I often think "my god please do not act like I did" because it was extremely unsafe at times with situations I got myself in. I get its a part of growing up, but when you have a child of your own your whole perspective will change, trust me!
