Late period

So a few weeks ago I had sex (I'm on birth control) but we didn't use a condom. My doctor told me not to worry but my period is slightly late. I'm using sprintec and I'm worried that I could possibly be pregnant. I do not know what to do at all. Has anyone ever experienced this with sprintec?
