Vbac birth after c-section??

So my last pregnancy I ended up getting a emergency c-section bc my sons heartbeat was super high. I'm pregnant with my second child. My dr said if everything goes smoothly this time I can try for a vbac birth. The form they gave me to sign makes it sound so scary. Have any ladies had a successful vbac birth after a c-section???

I did! Its not scary,  there are risks involved that they're informing you of. There are more risks with the csection and even risks if you've only had a vaginal birth.

I urge you to try for the vbac! Look up the ican chapter in your area.

I am going to try for a vbac. Have done a lot of research and your chances of dying are actually higher during a routine c section than of uterine rupture.

I do know that most doctors won't let you try a vbac of they have to induce. Also have heard a lot of OBs say they offer vbacs but always find a reason at the end to suggest c section.

My husband and I are going to likely hire a midwife and birth at a birthing center. I don't have insurance and don't qualify for medical and covered ca will end up being more than paying cash for a midwife.

Oh and they make you pull your hospital records from any previous c sections so they can see how you were sutured. If remember correctly they have to have opened you up horizontally. Which I assume is the standard. But FYI

I'm just worried bc I just had a baby not to long ago. My little guys will be 19 months apart. I hope I can have a normal vbac birth. Thank you all for the advice! 😊
