Has anyone gotten pregnant using condoms?

My boyfriend doesn't want me using birth control because I tend to forget taking it even with an alarm and work gets in the way. And I hate the depo shot. So he says lets just use condoms and I'm fine with that. I'm just curious to hear stories about this topic.

With proper use condoms can be just as effective as any other form of birth control. My husband and I used only condoms for almost 2 years and had no problems what so ever. That being said, I would talk to a doctor if I were you. Oral contraceptives aren't the only form of female birth control there is. There are better options out there now with less hassle. There the inplant that is good for 3 years of protection. There is the IUD depending on which one you get can be good for 5 years (or more I believe). Condoms are a great option, I definitely recommend them! But I also recommend using condoms with other birth control. Double the protection double the peace of mind!

This has nothing to do with condoms. But I wouldn't go on the pill because I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up. But I went on the nuvaring and that's 3 weeks in 1 week out for your period and back in the following week. It was perfect because naturally I am attuned to paying attention for when my period week was due so taking out the ring for my period wasn't a problem. I love it.

I've never had a pregnancy scare with a condom. I find them very trusting and I honestly recommend Trojan . They've worked for me
And never broken on me. The lifestyle conforms doctors give out break easily (obviously they want more patients).

We used condoms for 6 years and never had a pregnancy scare. We didn't use pull out with the condoms. We inspected the condom beforehand, and afterwards, we would fill the condom with water to check for holes. It never broke on us, but we were also very careful/not super rough.

My husband and I used the pull-out method for almost a decade without getting pregnant then switched to using condoms to be safe. We got pregnant the first month we switched :/ I'm not at all saying condoms or bad or don't work-- USE THEM! I just think we were the 2% that had a failure.

My OBGYN advises against condoms as they are only 70% effective.  I would suggest Nuvaring or IUD if he is that concerned.

honestly both do the job I use to take birth control but I stopped but if you forget a pill you can just take it the next day as long as you're taking them you should be fine!
