Mederna for scars?

If you had a c-section before, did you use Mederba or others product to fade the scar? Which product? How was your experience? Did it help?

I'm 2 weeks pp and I started applying biooil onto my scar in the morning and night.  It has already shrunk significantly from when I had my section.  The actual scar is about 5 inches or so down from probably over 8 inches.  I stuck with bio-oil since I used it during my whole pregnancy and never got a stretch mark on my stomach.  I have heard of people using mederma to make it fade.  My doctor told me the scar will fade and shrink in length significantly on its own and I don't need to really apply anything but to massage it to keep the scar soft and not to keloid.
