How do those whose babies sleep through the night do not wake up for dream feedings?

I'm so confused about this. My son typically sleeps 9:30-8/9am but will wake at 1:30am and around 5am before waking for the day at 8/9am. There's no way he won't get hungry and sleep the whole night. I'm ebf and just don't get it. Those who say they sleep trained...how do you sleep train them to not get hungry and wake for middle of night feedings? Or are they waking for dream feedings and I'm just misunderstanding?

My baby is 17 lbs and formula fed. She's always been a good sleeper but I think the formula helps with that (I couldn't breastfeed).  However...I also don't get my baby the second she cries. She often times puts herself back to sleep. She's been sleeping through the night for awhile now. Putting herself back to sleep has also helped with napping.

My baby wakes to eat 1-2 times a night and I think that's normal for ebf babies. I've read that 6 hours is sleeping through the night so I don't think they will sleep much longer than that without getting hungry

My little guys is 4m and has been sleeping through the night for about a month now. Usually falls asleep between 9&10 and wakes up anywhere from 7-9am. Sometimes he will wake up around 5 for a quick feed but then off to bed again. We bed share though so I fee like he sleeps longer stretches knowing I'm right there next to him, it's not for everyone but me and my husband love it and wouldn't have it any other way!

My baby goes down at 8 830 pm and I wake her at 5th hour and Co sleep after the 5th hour. I don't look at the clock I let her sleep and when she moves around I feed her she usually feeds for 10 min to even 30 min sometimes she just wants to know that it's there and it's easily accessible  I believe that is what dream feeding is she will nurse just a bit but is not fully awake

I think the training part is them learning to fall asleep on their own and put themselves back to sleep if they wake up.  You can't really train them not to need milk.  Every baby is different but at some point they are able to get all of the calories they need during the day.

My almost 5 month old has been sleeping 9-12 hrs a night since 10 weeks old. I don't know how or why but I'm not complaining.

It honestly depends on the baby! My oldest slept through the night at 6 weeks, my middle didn't sleep through the night until like 9 months. My current baby is 5 months and some nights she sleeps a lot and other nights she wakes up 3 times. She breastfeeds and gets formula, so honestly it's just her being more hungry than other babies.

My daughter is almost 5 months, she goes to sleep around 9:30 or 10 and wakes at 5am for a feed and then sleeps until 7 or 8 and then she's up for the day!

Once baby reaches 11lb or double the weight they are able to go the night without feeding. If baby wakes up at the same time every day is habit, if he wakes up at different times is hunger. I have to teach ur baby that night time is for sleeping and not eating. I removed the night feedings at 2.5m or every time she would sleep through it. Just give the binky so they go back to sleep. I use to do dream feed at 10:30, now that she is 5m I removed that too... And she wakes up not hungry... Just try it out.

My boy is 20 weeks on Wednesday and he has always been a good sleeper but the past month he has his last feed about 8-9 depending what he's done threw the day and he will wake up around 8-9 sometimes 10 in the morning. Doesn't sleep more than 4 hours threw the day so that may help and he goes up to his cot when me or his dad goes to bed x
