Juice?

Has anyone started giving baby a little bit of watered down juice yet? I give him a little bit of water sometimes because it's so hot.

Yes and no. Watered down juice no.....an ounce of pear juice in his bottle for constipation per doctor recommendation, yes. Babies this age don't need water yet, even if it's hot. Just give milk/formula.

Not yet.  I read the recommended age for water is 6 months and just an ounce or two.  Juice I read not tell 9-12 months.  Same with juice on how much to give.

No, my baby is four months. I don't plan on giving her anything other than milk until at least five months. I probably won't give her juice for a lot longer than that though. I don't even drink juice myself because I don't think it's the healthiest option.

My boy is 20 weeks on Wednesday and I give him 3 oz of water which has been boiled if it is a hot day because their only like us and the get dehydrated and don't always want food (milk) x

My ped gave us the go ahead to give up to 2 oz of water a day. He also said we could put .25-.50 oz apple juice in his water if i want to change it up a bit.

Yes we started at about a month old with 1 ounce of apple juice per my son's pediatrician orders. Now that he's 4 1/2 months he's on 2 ounces 1-2 a week depending on how constipated he is.

Talk it over with your child pediatrician and see what they recommend and go from there. They will be the best to give you an accurate answer for your little one.
