Do you think this is wrong or okay?

I know it's none of my business and totally not my place but I just wanted to see how anyone else would feel about this. I know this girl who's husband just died in April..they weren't married but a couple months when he died. But they've been together for years they have 2 kids together. She just had a baby a year ago. Anyway he died in April and she was posting about him every day on social media. My heart hurt for her. I actually cried for her and I don't know her very well. she posted today that she has a new boyfriend. 4 months after her husband died...I know people grieve in different ways but...do you think it's wrong?

You don't know what she's feeling. Maybe she was so consumed with loneliness that she felt she had to jump into a relationship to help with the pain. Like you said, people grieve in different ways.

People grieve differently and some move on faster than others. Where she has a new boyfriend I'd bet anything that she still loves and misses her husband.

Grieving process, easy to push something away when you have something else to focus on. I wouldn't expect the relationship to end up working in reality. But I don't blame the poor woman.

Although I couldn't do it myself, this may be an effort to try and move on, and distract herself from grieving over her husband with new experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I think bringing up her husbands death to her new partner is very important though, especially with how soon it was. But everyone manages their pain in different ways, I don't think she should be judged for her way.

I couldn't do that but she may be looking for comfort rather than long term companionship. Either way.. if she's somewhat happy that's what matters. She will never stop grieving.

Some people really can't handle being alone. And it may not be as serious as you think it is. Just someone to take her to dinner and take her mind off of things. Maybe he's an old friend. But you can't know what she's going through unless you've been there, and even then. She's grieving, and I'm sure it's not easy.

It probably helps with her pain to have someone else to focus on and make her feel good. I would hope, if the table was turned and it was me that died, that my SO would wait a little longer tho 😕
