Contractions at 20 weeks (Not Braxton Hicks!)

Kaitlyn
A few days ago I was driving to go to dinner when I hit a deer. It messed up the car pretty badly and scared me pretty badly as well. The car was drivable, so I drive it straight to my best friends mother in laws house.
When I got there and explained what happened they all told me I should just run to the ER and just double check to see if everything is okay. So I did.
They told me they where going to monitor me for contractions for two hours. Well during those two hours I did start having mild contractions at regular intervals.
I knew having contractions this early was a bad thing so it caused me to stress more, but I convinced myself finally to calm down and try to relax and drink water to stay hydrated. The contractions lasted 3 hours, and they couldn't give me anything to intervene because I was 20 weeks exactly.
So I pushed through the contractions, kept praying, and watched time tick by.
Finally, after getting to the ER at 8 and taken to L&D at 8:30, at 1:45 AM they told me the contractions have come to almost a complete vault and that my baby and I would be okay!
So no matter what happens, remember there is always hope, the best thing is to try and remain positive!
