should I wait for him??

this guy & I have been talking and messing around for about two months now and he tells me that he likes me a lot and loves being around me, but that he's just not ready to trust a woman again, after what his ex did to him 4 years ago... he asked me two days ago if i would wait for him (as in talking to & seeing only him).. which I'm already doing; I just don't want to waste my time . he's scared to trust again but so am I... should I give up & move on or should I wait around and see where it goes?

In my opinion & experience, if he truly loves you he wouldn't make you wait. Usually in those kind of situations he's wanting to have his cake and eat it too. "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". I understand the whole being scared to trust someone again but when you LOVE someone you BE with them. You're afraid to trust again as well but you're willing to be with him because you love him right? If he felt the same way about you he would be with you. Men suck & are stupid creatures. Don't let all the sugar coated bullshit blind you from the truth. Not saying this is the case with him because I know everyone is different I'm just basing my opinion on my previous experiences as well as things my friends have gone through with men as well. Wait for him in a sense but don't put all your eggs in one basket. If he isn't ready to commit maybe you should say you're "not ready to have sex with him again". Best of luck ❤️

That almost sounds like what I'm going through. We met a little over a month ago. For two weeks it was going really good then he started to pull back. He finally admitted he wasn't ready for a relationship but that he did really like me. So we took a step back and decided to be friends with the possibility of being friends with benefits. When it came time for the benefits though we had a problem. He suggested we get tested first & I was a little upset at first because when we're first seeing each other and we almost went too far he never brought up getting tested. We only stopped because I hesitated. So I made the appointment (figured I should do it anyhow) & I told him. When I asked if he was going to get tested he says I don't know. Then I got really mad. I asked for space (which he gave me) & once I calmed down and was able to think I decided just being friends with no benefits was best. He understood & he apologized too. I don't want to stop being with him in some capacity because I know he's having a hard time. He had literally just moved to my town and started a new job a month before we met and he's having a hard time dealing with it. Plus we can really talk to each other. He does know I'm going to date other guys & he says he's ok with it but I'm positive it is a problem for him but he doesn't want to ask me to put my life on hold & wait for him
