Sex to induce labor

I'm 37 weeks and been 3cm dilated for over a week. Having cramps and contractions almost every day! I heard that sex can induce labor?!😒 is this true? Has anybody did it and worked? This is my second pregnancy. We had our first Bay at 34 weeks my water broke so this is all new for me. Hopefully you guys can help me!!
