First time ttc should I tell friends and family?

Hi all! I joined less than 2 weeks ago when my husband and I decided we were going ttc.  I went off my birth control at this time as well.  I haven't told anyone but my mother that we are trying  because I am scared that it isn't going to happen very quickly and don't want to have to answer people every time they feel like asking. Did you tell others you were ttc?

I told 3 friends.  1 because she's my best,  2 others because they shared their TTC stories.  Since we've been TTC for a bit under a year,  I shared my struggles. My boss at work knows also.  No family.

Not everyone, just a select few. We also decided that once we do conceive we will be waiting a little while to tell everyone. It's like having a special secret between you and your husband. Plus then no one is asking all the time

The decision is yours to make... I have told a few family and friend only because they have always been supportive of my husband and I and the decisions we make. Try not telling those who always seem to tear down what ever it is your doing. it will only make it more stressful and lots of stress is bad for conceiving.

I've been TTC for 21 months. There are certain friends we've confided in, and certain ones we haven't. We fell pregnant in Jan and unfortunately lost it in March 😞 Only about 3 friends knew about the pregnancy ... I was waiting till 12 weeks for my happy announcement - but that never came. Unfortunately I then had to tell people that I had lost a baby they never knew I had. It was heartbreaking.
My advice is ... Things don't always go according to plan. Tell those that will be there for you and support you if you don't get the end result you are hoping for. Some people would prefer to grieve on their own, but I needed a support network. ✨

I've told a few close friends & 3 family members, but I just told them I'm off the pill & we'll see what happens. They'll find out for sure when I announce I'm pregnant (whenever that happens)

I wish I hadn't told anyone. It's taking longer than I expected and people's comments are starting to annoy me. I actually find people on this app and my ttc Facebook group more supportive than 99% of my friends and family  🙄

I have told 1 friend and 2 family members that we are no longer preventing. I agree with the others, i don't want people asking if it takes a while.

We chose only to tell those who we knew we could trust not to ask constantly. The rest of them just ask the general "when are you two planning to start your family" question. To which I always answer, "at some point."

It was a good call on our part because we have been ttc for over 2 years. So, I'm glad we don't have people asking us all kinds of questions or suggesting something might be wrong. My midwife isn't concerned and neither are we. 😃

We didn't tell anyone and probably won't just because we don't want the questions and questions and questions..... including, what? Before marriage? why??
