So heart broken..

I'm beyond heart broken, but trying to remain optimistic. I had a ultrasound at 7 weeks 2 days everything was perfect, heart beat was 171. I went to see my midwife at 9 weeks 3 days & they couldn't find a hb with just the Doppler no ultrasound, but we heard a lot of placenta and she said its normal for 9 weeks and that it was a good sign. So I finally made it to 11 weeks & 2 days for my ultrasound today, I saw my baby, looked fine, it was kinda small than what I was supposed to be, maybe like 10 weeks & this was abdominal. She said there wasn't a heart beat.The tech walked out and brought in the Doctor to try again & still nothing. She said we have bad news. There's no heart beat and no blood flow to the baby. I don't understand they only did external and not internal and didn't even give it any time before just giving me three options. I haven't been bleeding, no cramping . Nothing . Still getting nauseous, still have my symptoms. Can anyone tell me what's happening? They said they're pretty sure I'm miscarrying. So what I have my dead baby in Me? 😞 why wouldn't they check internal? They did it so fast and assumed misscarriage .
