This is humiliating as hell
I spent the night with my SO at his families house. I'm on my period, they have 3 dogs. And I know that our dogs, if they can smell my tampons or pads in the trash they would dig it out and shred it and eat it and spread it out, like literally the most repulsive shit ever. We had to keep our trash can under our sink. they have a trash can by their toilet but I figured, if the dogs smell it they'll do exactly that. So I wrapped up my tampons really well and put them in the kitchen trash because it's taller and it has a lid (I asked his mom I can't flush tampons because they already have plumbing issues as it is) and I even shoved them down in there.
He texts me today saying that one of his dogs dug my used tampon out of the trash and shredded it all across the living room. He cleaned it up and only his mom and him saw it. I am legitimately humiliated, that was something I was really trying to avoid. I feel like I'm gross or something like obviously my period is something I can't help but I feel like, that's just really humiliating. I kindof want to cry, I may also just be over sensitive because I'm in the middle of my period but come on 😟
