Do you think child birthing classes are necessary?

I think if you plan to go Unmedicated it's would be very helpful. I had an epidural and no classes and had no issues.

I don't think it's necessary, but it's nice to have. Obviously you'll get through the labor regardless. I just like to know what's going on and what possibilities are out there. I feel like I'm going into this with a little more confidence.

My first pregnancy, I bought myself a book and did a little research online (I didn't have this app then) prior to taking any classes to better prepare myself. Once I took the classes, I felt like I was a know it all. Everything they taught, was many common sense or stuff I found in my book or quick searches online. I didn't learn a single new thing in that class. Therefore, I felt it was a waste of time and money. However, if someone went into the class as a first time parent without any type of research or reading under their belt, I could see where it would be beneficial to an extent.

I was 16 years old and didn't have any classes at all. Gave birth perfectly fine to a child that was born with her intestines on the outside. Took 3 pushes. So I don't really think they are necessary.  After she was born I was like "how the freak did I do that with out that training crap!?" 😂

For me it's absolutely as I want to be as mentally and emotionally prepared as possible, and have the tools I need not to mention have my husband prepared also since it's not just me having the baby. There are a variety of types (hypnobirthing, Bradley, etc) and you can also take childbirth education classes online if it's hard to schedule or too expensive.

I learned a lot that I didn't think I would. I'd say go.
