Mother in law issues...

I don't get it. I clean my sisters in laws apartment for free becauae shes a hoarder and could lose her kids. I babysit her two daughters for free and love it. The sister in law slipped to me casually how their mom doesn't like me because i take medication for anxiety and depression and I'd be crazy if i got off it and might be an alcoholic because my dad is. I cried that she slipped this to me and told my husband who was so mad he confronted his mom who played dumb to ever saying that. And his sister insisted i persistantly asked her why the mom didn't like me when i didn't! Why would i? I was in a good place. I thought her mom loved me! Now the husband is mad that i don't forgive them right away because "they are sorry and send hugs" but no one has said it to my face or even in a text. Jeez. What should i do?
