Crib mattresses? 😳

How are you picking yours? There are just too many options and I'm overwhelmed.

Look at consumer reports and find something that fits within their guidelines, and your budget. We got a graco foam mattress that has great reviews and meets all of their recommendations. And since its foam and not springs, when our son is a bit older and wants and jump on it, it won't have as much springing action, so it helps deter jumping on beds.

We checked where it was made (wasn't buying anything from China for a mattress) and made sure it was organic cotton. I'm very aware of chemicals so that's how I researched them. Also let the mattress sit in the sun for a couple days each side before bringing it in the nursery to make sure it was aired out.

We got a comforpedic mattress for our son and ended up getting the same one for our daughter, it's got a newborn side and then a toddler side that's temperature controlled and a little softer. I'm assuming it's pretty comfortable as my son sleeps like a champ haha
