Did bouncing on a yoga ball help start your contractions?

Trying to decide if it would really be worth it or not to get a yoga ball to bounce on. I know the baby will come when he is ready, but did this help you at all?

You can find them cheap at like a Ross or Tjmaxx. I loved mine just for sitting on rather than a chair in the last trimester, and it did make the first 2 or so hours of labor very nice.

Did not help start labor, but I believe it helped to dilate my cervix and thin out a bit the weeks before I was induced. It's also more comfortable to sit on than the sofa or dining room chair when eating or watching tv. I sat on mine for hours a day!

I used my yoga ball at home before i felt i needed to go into the hospital once labor started with my second and third babies. It was great to sit on and I'd lean over onto the couch and rest my upper body. Plus my hubby rubs my back. Don't know about it starting labor through.
