Bloody show: what's it mean?

I lost my mucus plug a week ago and then today some more but it had strings of old blood! Could labor be right around the corner? What's your experience after bloody show?

Answer

I lost mine while having actual contractions with my son so while I was in labour and lost it all at once but this time I've been losing it all week, never had any blood at all until today though and still nothing. It doesn't necessarily mean anything, labour could be happening or could be hours days or weeks off. It's such a pain lol!
