Is It Self-Centered?

So I like to put pictures of me as my lock and homescreen. Most people do. But when I can't find that one picture I'll choose a few and make a small collage of myself as my lock and homescreen. Anyways one day a boy saw me on my phone and said "You're so self centered just like all these other girls who put themselfs as theirs lock screen. How about you stop making it all about you. Use a picture of a flower or something." I of course fought back "It's my phone. If anyone picks it up I'd like them to know its my phone. Plus I think I'm pretty damn beautiful and I like seeing myself when I turn on MY phone.And I want other people to see me if they turn my phone on because I'm confident." He got mad and left. Do y'all think I'm self centered?

I meant to hit no. Girl your phone is yours. You decorate it with your beautiful self or anything you want. There's nothing wrong with feeling confident. Anyone that cuts you down for liking a picture of yourself isn't the kind of person you want to be around. You do you. I am so sorry I hit yes.. Not at all, I use to do the same thing exactly. Sometimes still do, only now I use a picture of my boyfriend. Well right now it's a picture of my newborn niece... But it doesn't make you self centered, and for anyone who says it does I would like to know why they think so.. It's your phone, if you wanna look at yourself all day and night you can do that... People say we have to love ourselves, be confident, but when someone loves themselves and is confident, it's a problem!!!

I don't believe it is. Females are shamed if they don't love themselves enough or don't "fit" in society's eyes. When we do have the big confidence everyone shames about not having we are shamed again that we are too conceited. Just don't believe in what they say because no matter what society's eyes are always going to be say something different and honestly it is your life you should live in great confidence. 💞
