How are you supposed to react to wild animals?

Let's say wild animals such as snakes, giant spiders, coyotes, foxes, lizards, herbivores, and big cats, like cougars. Animals that could be found in the Great Plains and people don't immediately know how to react to them. Most importantly snakes

5. Lower yourself flat on the ground as to not be seen so easily

I think with animals like coyotes or cougars, you're supposed to make a lot of noise and basically stand tall and make yourself look a lot bigger and more threatening than they are. I think......either that or you're supposed play dead.🤔 It's definitely one of those though. I can't really remember. Hope I helped!☺️

Lmao the Great Plains. Those animals are found in the eastern US too. Pretty much everywhere. You run from a cougar, pick up the cute little snake, and eat the herbivore.

It depends entirely on the animal. You don't run from a cougar. A snake isn't going to chase you unless you deserve it. Coyotes and bobcats will run from you 95% of the time too unless you've done something to piss them off.

You're more likely to be attacked my stray dogs, which unfortunately breed with coyotes.

For me, I'd either have a heart attack on the spot or try to out run whomever is with me. I don't have to be the best runner, I just have to be the fastest :D all joking aside I'd probably have a heart attack.

Since I live in an area with Rattlers, coyotes, wolverines, badgers, wolves, deer and the occasional cougar, let me tell you something.

If you don't know what to do around wildlife you better look it up and fast.

Rattlers will kill you with their venom. They will also attack if you are standing still or moving so it is just best to avoid the area when they are most active.

Coyotes- Make a shit ton of noise and make yourself look big as possible. This only works if they don't have canine Distemper, then they fearless.

Badgers, wolverines and wolves, like ratters are best to avoid if at all possible.

Deer- just don't piss it off and it will leave you alone. Also don't get between mom and baby.

Cougar- As far as I know you are supposed to just back away slowly while making noise.

*FYI- Rattlers are rattlesnakes.
