Is it normal?

So I call the doctor to make the first appointment and she can't get me in until the 16 th of August. That is 3 weeks from now. I would be just over 8 weeks pregnant by then. I am filled with dread at waiting that long. Is it normal to dread the first appointment?

The receptionist made my appointment at 4 weeks she got in trouble for making  it too soon. The doctor can't do much he just checked my weight my pressure and urine test. He rescheduled me at 7 weeks.

Yea, I wasn't seen until 10 week. I found out so was pregnant around 4 weeks. Waiting for that first appointment feels like an eternity!

Yes that's normal, they typically don't schedule first appointments until 8-10 weeks along

Yes it is normal. I didn't see my doctor until I was 10 weeks and I won't see them again until I'm 6 weeks. It sucks so much but unless I want to pay out of pocket I have no choice. If you are worried go to the ER.

I didn't see my doctor till I was 8 weeks, then it was every four weeks. I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and yes while it was absolutely dreadful waiting, but it's normal. Also, don't expect an ultrasound at the first appointment either, I mean it varies at all of the different clinics/hospitals, but a lot of the time if they don't do it till 12 weeks unless you push for it. Most insurance companies don't pay for more than 3 unless you are high risk. One around 8-12 weeks, one after 20 weeks for the anatomy scan and one around 30-33 weeks to make sure everything is going well.
