When will you announce?

My due date is February 2nd, genetics results will be back this week. I'm thinking of announcing in a week or 2. At what point in pregnancy will you announce?

We told our friends and family starting at 8 weeks with all 3 pregnancies. I don't put anything on social media until later though, like 18-20 weeks. I know miscarriage risk goes way down after 12 weeks but I'd just rather not have the entire world know I'm pregnant and then something happens and of course I'd want my good friends and family to know I miscarried but I'd rather not have people I haven't seen in 12 years know I'm pregnant via social media and then I miscarry and and then have to do a social media announcement to tell these people I never see that I lost the baby. I know, I'm probably over thinking it but I just like to keep it intimate for a while.

I'm telling my friends on snapchat after my first can which is next week I'll be 12 weeks 3 days for the people on Instagram probably not till around 6 months or when I have the baby If I don't have a baby shower

We told immediate family right away as we were camping with them all for Father's Day weekend lol and next week I have my first appointment where hopefully I can hear a heartbeat, I'll be a day away from 11 weeks, but we'll announce on social media then. I've been very open about our fertility struggles with everyone (nothing to be ashamed of or hide). If midwife can't find heartbeat with Doppler, and I go for an ultrasound, we'll wait until after the ultrasound.

I'm actually thinking by 15 weeks. I'm only 10 today and I'm hoping it's a sticky bean so I'm keeping it quiet for a little while.

We announced to my work (i work at a hospital so my bosses may see me on a schedule- didn't want them to find out that way) and very close family/friends about week 8.  Social media and not so close people will be once we find out the sex.

Hubby's boss was actually the 1st to know after the two of us- I needed immediate advice on a medication and she's a pharmacist. She was very helpful (almost due with her 3rd child in addition to being a pharmacist) and super professional- didn't talk about it until she confirmed he was ready to tell his coworkers.
