Why are my nipples so sensitive all of the sudden???

I normally only have sensitive nipples right before my period, usually within 5 days of starting, if at all. But this month they were noticeably sore a few days before my ovulation window which is really weird. 11 days later and I'm still sore! I'm supposed to start my period in a week. What gives? And why the sudden change?
