Help! I'm so sick!

Courtney
I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and today I was told I'm high risk due to not gaining weight. I've lost almost 10 lbs and can't keep anything down. I am also already a smaller woman. Dr. Has given me two different prescriptions (a pill and a dissolvable) and neither has helped with me throwing up everything including water. Has any thing helped anyone in this situation. I can typically eat about 7 saltines and 2 clementines a day. I am VERY hungry but I know if I eat I will only feel sick for an hour or so after. I also have a little one at home to take care of and work evenings which makes risking being sick all day that much harder. Help!!

What time during the day are you taking your Prenatal vitamins? I take mine at night because they will make me nauseous if I take them when awake.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I've lost about ten pounds as well but hoping I'll start gaining now that I'm entering my second trimester.

Not sure if this will help but I take a Unisom at night at 8pm sharp snd then first thing in the morning I take a full 100 mg B12. This is the only way I am able to go to work or function.

I'm kinda in the same boat. It's gotten worse the past two weeks and I am almost 12 weeks. I've tried everything but I noticed that on my bad days, it doesn't matter when or what I eat, I feel nauseous and have to throw up ( even crackers). I'll have an ok day once in a while so I eat as much as I can on those days. Also, after I eat, as much as I want to throw up, I'll try to hold it in for at least 30min to an hour so my body absorbs something. I look at how much I throw up and I've noticed that if I hold it in for at least 30min, I don't throw up EVERYTHING I ate which I'm thinking means that my body absorbed something...

Unisom and b6 together. Take it 3x a day as needed. I think the tablets are more effective than gels. I know it sounds weird but have you tried Slim Fast or some type of protein shake? I had one BAD week during my first pregnancy and I slowly sipped an ice cold slim fast. Once I got something on my stomach, I was able to nibble more on dry toast. You mentioned being able to eat saltines and clementines. DO NOT let yourself get hungry. Ever! Eat a little bit constantly if you can get it down. Sometimes when my stomach is bad I drink milk. It sounds counterproductive but the dairy calms the stomach acid. I also do Greek yogurt.

I was this way with my first pregnancy, it was absolutely horrible. Nothing really helped me either but it got better towards the end. I know how you feel 😢 I am now pregnant with my second and it's only half as bad as I was with my daughter. The only thing I could really do to make it go away was sleep most of the time. Are you on diclegis? I really hope it eases up for you!! 💞

You poor thing! Can someone (partner or mum) make you real homemade chicken broth? Totally clear stock made from chicken carcasses and vegies. On really bad days i had a cup of that with small maccarone boiled in it. Its got protein, vitamins, carbs and the salty bland taste seems soothing. Also its rehydrating and a breeze to tgrow backbup again if it conescto that. Hope it lifts in a few weeks.

I know it totally sucks to throw up but if you can keep food down for even an hour you're probably absorbing SOME nutrients, vs not eating at all.

I've been struggling too. My doctor suggested taking unisom and b6 vitamin at night. It is helping. I also started taking half a pill of unisom in the morning and the other half in the afternoon.
