Anyone familiar with high prolactin levels??

So I got my bloodwork results-the nurse said I have high prolactin levels, the doctor will not be in until tomorrow so I'm not sure what the even means and I'm wondering if that affects getting pregnant? Is this why I have pcos with irregular or no periods and I'm on my second cycle of clomid because I'm not ovulating

Yes it does affect getting pregnant .. I was in a similar situation and my doctor (PCP) re ordered the test to confirm. But since it was still high Doctor referred me to an endocrinologist and ordered an MRI of the pituitary gland. The result was hyperprolactinemia (growth on the pituitary gland that may have increased the production of prolactin - however sometimes reasons can be unknown). As the growth was very very small.. The endocrinologist put me on a small dose of cabergoline.. And was asked to re test prolactin level after a month.. (Didn't re do the MRI though - maybe since the level reduced). Everything is under control now !! Don't worry .. Everything will be fine .. Good luck ..
