Shaking crib
Okay, so this is an experience I had when I was little. I don't talk about it too much because no one ever believed me, but this happened and I still have no explanation for it.
When I was about 9 years old, my mom would always leave me to babysit my baby sister (who was just about 9 months old or so at the time). My sister was asleep in her crib upstairs, and I was watching TV in the living room.
Suddenly I heard this really loud banging noise coming from her room. Just the loudest "THUMP THUMP THUMP" that wouldn't stop. I jumped up and ran up the stairs as quickly as I could to check on her.
I rounded the corner and saw my sister, hanging on to her crib for dear life, tears streaming down her face and screaming. The crib was banging against the wall REALLY hard, still not stopping. I wish I had been brave and picked her up right away but I was just frozen, so terrified I couldn't even move. I just watched the crib bash into the wall with her in it. Finally, after a few seconds, I bolted forward and plucked her out of the crib.
Finally the banging stopped, and I ran down the stairs and cuddled her on the couch, just so scared! When my mom came home I told her about it, but she rolled her eyes and didn't beieve me.
After that my sister and I always shared a bed, until I turned 18 and moved out. She doesn't remember because she was so young but I don't think I'll ever forget!
