Mastitis advice?!

I have mastitis in my right breast, I haven't had my baby yet so feeding to unblock the duct is not an option, I am on antibiotics which have helped with the fever but the blockage is still there and still very painful.
Can I use a breast pump? Or will that make it worse

How far along are you? Pumping might help but you'll be pumping away colostrum which baby needs and pumping can induce labor.

Ibuprofen helps relieve inflammation and the hot rags and a hot shower helps too.. use the pump.. it's gonna hurt but it will start to go away

I had that 3 different times while breast feeding so I feel your pain. I never used a pump. I just fed my daughter as much as possible. The constant feeding and let down of your milk will help it to become unclogged. Also use a warm washcloth on the area where it is before you feed your baby. That helps with the pain and it helps loosen everything up.
