Would having your father in the room while pushing be totally awkward?

I'm due to be induced on the 2nd due to blood pressure. At 39.2 weeks. My husband starts his new job on this day also. So I I don't go into labor before Tuesday, my husband can't be in the room. I'm honestly closer to my dad than my mom and he has medical background. I was thinking if my husband can't be at the birth maybe having my father there just to cut the cord and my mother to actually assist with the labor.....if he's comfortable with it of course.. Anyone find this unacceptable? I'm kinda lost on what I should do.
