HELP! Ovulating testing

Ok.. I'm a little confused when ovulation testing.   I've been using test strips every month.. And I've been seeing a positive line every single month... But what exactly does that line mean? Am I ovulating that day? Or is that just peak day? And it means ovulation is the next day? How long do I have to bd after i see a positive line?  In the past months... Once I've gotten a positive line.. We've stopped having sex that day .. Now I'm worried that maybe we should have continued to have sex the following day or two after I get that positive line on the ovulation test. Ugh. This could be why I keep seeing Aunt Flo every damn month! 😡
